Verdict: the tiers are brand lines, not one scale. Atomic is the compact brushless line, XR is the brushless performance line, and PowerStack is a battery type, not a tool tier. Among impact drivers the cheapest brushless one is DCF845B ($129.00, Lowe's). Pay for XR or the high-torque DCF860B only if you drive long lag screws or bolts all day.
